| Hey, not to be a downer or anything but I'm not so sure that I can really handle this college thing anymore and I've only been here a week. Is that bad? I just went to some sorority interest session thing and I kinda feel like I won't get a bid. I'm just not girly enough but I really wanna join. Maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or something but I just feel like I'm on the verge of tears every 5 minutes. It sucks but everything's just so new and I don't know anyone. I'm not used to girly girls...seriously, we didn't have too too many at my school if I can remember correctly. I just don't know...It's so hard to meet everyone and remember all of their names. God I really miss all of my friends from All Saints. Ugh. Then all of the upper classmen came back yesterday so there are even MORE people to meet now. Like I'm not having a hard time remembering everyone anyway. Jeez... | | |
| Well I'm back from Lolla, which was awesome by the way, and now I'm bored. Ha, I guess that's Arkansas for ya. Well, I guess I really should start getting ready for college right about now since it's a week and two days away. Wow, this is really strange. I was looking forward to it and was super excited, but now I'm kinda nervous again. I thought I already got rid of that feeling!! Ugh, wonderful. Then I've been getting emails telling me that I only have 11 hours of classes so far. Don't we just fix it when we get an advisor? Hmm...I hope I'm not just procrastinating. I tend to do that sometimes when I really don't mean to. I've been pushing myself to read those books for a while now and have I done it yet? What do you think? I'm truly horrible. lol. Anywho, I met a kid from Rhodes (We went to Lolla together) and he was fun, ha. Glad I'm going to Rhodes knowing atleast a couple of people. Ooo, during Lolla I got oh so close to the stage for Queens of the Stone Age and then stayed there for the Chili Peppers. It was SO amazing, but scary too. I lost both of my shoes in the crowd and people crowd surfed on my head and I was thrown over the little gate when I was trying to get out. Oh and I was right by a mosh pit. It was an interesting experience...But I lived, thankfully. The people I went with were really great so I had a good time. I was cracking up because of the guys and the girls all had interesting moments as well. Ha. Ooo, this weekend my parents are throwing a "Going to college party" for me (I know they just needed an excuse to throw a pool party). I'm hoping Dani can come in from Little Rock or I'll be the only one my age. You see they invited their friends (who are anywhere from 50-80) and I don't really talk to anybody around this town. My real home was All Saints' and that's where my friends are, or were. Now I get to start over again at Rhodes. Hmm... | | |
| I AM FULL OF JOY! Ha, well I went to a party today in Little Rock. It was a "Rhodes Summer Send Off Celebration". Gahh, I had fun and met my roomie (one of em) who is crazy by the way, thank God, and I met some of the other students who were really cool. I'm definitely excited to start and I have only 2 weeks and 6 days. Not too bad. That means I have to hurry and read those gay ass books (aka "Gilgamesh" and "The End Of Nature"). UGH. And I have only 5 days till I go to Chicago w/ Dani and crew. YAY! Happiness overcomes me. Ha.
PS- I'm so tired of these damn liberals!! It seems like most people at Rhodes are liberals...the tree-hugging, shove-it-down-your-throat kind. GREAT. How will I ever survive? | | |
